Hello Art Licensing!

A year ago, I got my first art licensing opportunity to create artwork for a line of bright brush stroke journals and planners. These colorful journals were picked up by TJMAXX and sold in stores in the U.S., Canada and UK. Not only was it fun seeing people go out and purchase EttaVee journals in their local stores, but I felt happy knowing I could add a little pop of color to someone's everyday life! The notebooks were a hit, they even sold out twice in my hometown in Indiana! It was wonderful to explore a new avenue in which to share my art with the world.

This experience was my first introduction into the world of art licensing and building my brand on a bigger stage. It was such a lovely experience and I knew then I wanted to dive into more licensing opportunities! For the past year, I've been learning all that I can about the surface and textile design industry. I combed through countless blogs, re-worked my portfolio, walked the Heimtextil show in Frankfurt and signed up to exhibit at SURTEX this May (more on that soon)! All of this immersion, curiosity and preparation has led way to my next big step forward for the EttaVee brand.

I'm absolutely thrilled to announce I have signed with Jewel Branding & Licensing! Jewel is a leading full-service global brand management and licensing agency based in Atlanta, GA. They develop and manage strategic licensing programs across a wide array of product categories at all levels of retail around the globe. In other words, they are matchmakers between artists and licensees! Some of the brands they represent include: Bouffants & Broken Hearts, Lily & Val and Rongrong Illustration. I'm am so excited to be joining such a talented line-up!
