Live Painting with EttaVee: Spring Sky Inspiration

In 2017, I traveled to the Normandy region of France for the first time with my husband to visit his great-aunt. While there, we visited Utah Beach which is one of the five beaches from WW2’s D-Day. It was an erie and odd experience to see all of the old war machinery left behind on the beach - odd, but beautiful. As we drove along the coast, we were greeted with the most beautiful sunset shining over the ocean. The colors of the sunset were hard to capture on my phone camera, but the colors inspired me to start a collection called Sunset over Normandy as soon as I returned home.

We’re going to take the inspiration above and “spring” it up a bit, by using a more pastel color palette and adding spring fleurs blowing across the sky <3 Can’t wait to paint with you all!
